"the four required words" blog finally winds up in yahoo

The four required words blog was finally indexed by yahoo. So that makes all the search engines and the images are still only a few results and none by us. As of now we are still #1 in Google and A9, i think 11 in MSN and 9 in yahoo.

Im going to see if increasing the traffic to this blog will show any difference in the search engines. So what i will have to do is join a couple free trtaffic exchanges. Im going to join 2 and use them in combination with eachother. i will join an exit exchange, so sorry in advance for the popunder and i will join an autosurf that allows a popunder. This way when i display a popunder i will get the four required words blog shown in return on someone elses site. And will get more traffic from the autosurf, for no other reason than more unique visitors, i want to see if this increases the alexa ranking which will increase the search engine placement, and if so in which search engine and i want to do it for free.

The 2 month mark for the required words seo contest will be April 15th and that will 1 month left in the contest. At which time i will post more frequently and start getting more links.

If anyone is interested in buying a domain name for the four required words contest i have 2 available. TheFourRequiredWords.com and The-Four-Required-Words.com are receiving traffic and are both for sale so if anyone is interested just contect me with your offer. These 2 domains would be great to have in the contest and also for traffic. This blog seems to be doing just fine so there is still enough time left and i dont see a use for them for me to use, but they can be for someone else that puts them to use, because right now they are just pointing here. Just email me if anyone is interested, i will consider all reasonable offers.

why the four required words were chosen

Some of you maybe asking yourself why "the four required words" whas the phase choice chosen for this seo contest. Or maybe you just dont care but here is why the four words were chosen for this contest, in order to not disturb the search engines and other results a phrase which returned no results was chosen. Although it isnt required to do this, it is done to ensure that the search engines do not black list all of the entries for causing such chaos in the engines. For example at the start of this seo contest there will 0 results for the phrase "the four required words" now combinded in all of them there are probably 50,000 of them combined. Rememer this is all in less than 1 month, as there is still 1 week before the contest is a month old. So how many results do you think will show up at the end of the contest? A million, 5 million who knows maybe only a few hundred thousand but is still a big jump from 0.

I have been glancing at the results when ever i have some free time and i noticed that we were bumped from the number 1 spot in msn to number 2. And also still havent been seen in yahoo which im pretty annoyed about, because when i fist started in SEO i rember yahoo being the easiest search engine to get listed in, and now it seems pretty hard. Just goes to show you that the engines do change and you have to know how to keep up with them or at least it helps.

The first position is currently being held by a blog from msn spaces, which msn of course put in number 1 and could be a reason for us staying 1 in google is because blogger is part of google.
Anyway we will see how things go and like i said i really wanted to finish in the top 3 so if not 1st, 2nd is sure good enough for me. Anyway i am also testing pixel ad seo and to tell you the truth i wouldnt be where i am in the engines right now for the required words contest if i hadnt been getting links into this site and in my opinion right now there is no easier way to get inbound links to your site than through pixel ads, but who knows that could all change too.

#1 in 3 out of the four search engines for our required four words, hey hey hey.
As you can see we almost hit our goal of being #1 for our required words for this SEO contest but it is still early and the results always seem to be changing but hey 3 out of 4 isnt bad, and it has been less than 1 month. If you look at the last results i took you can see the drastic differences if you actually searched for the term "the four required words", on my first post i have the links to all the search engines so you can just check here, without having to type in the result.

Updates will probably be about 1 or 2 a week, definatley 1 a week, but if anything major or interesting happens it could be more. Theres not really much to do now except what i have been doing which is waiting and establishing links, and writing this blog. Who know what position we will be next week if any, you will just have to check back :).
